Office accessibility

Our office is located off the Royal Mile opposite the Travelodge Hotel. The building is accessed through a doorway between the Post Office and the Copy Shop.

Getting here

Information if you are getting to PDSO Edinburgh by bus, tram, train, car and bike.

Bus

Lothian Buses services 3, 8, 29, 31, 33, 37 stop near to the Royal Mile. If you are travelling towards the city centre the closest bus stop is located on South Bridge. If you are travelling away from the city centre the closest bus stop is on North Bridge at the Caledonian Hotel.

Tram

Trams heading to the airport or city centre both stop on Princes Street, close to the Royal Mile.

Train

Waverley train station is located around 0.3 miles from St. Mary’s Street (as shown on the map above).

Car

There is a NCP Car Park at St. John’s Hill (Holyrood Road) which offers paid parking. Chargeable on-street car parking is also located on some side streets around St. Mary’s Street.

Bike

There are no facilities for bikes outside PDSO Edinburgh.

When you arrive

There is street level access to the main entrance of our office.

There is a buzzer entry system that will alert staff to your arrival. The entrance is 800mm wide and our reception area enables wheelchair users to manoeuvre freely.

During your visit

To gain entry to our office you should use the intercom located at the front door to speak to a member of staff.

Please note that we cannot always admit visitors who do not have a pre-arranged appointment.

Assistance dogs are welcome in our office. Please let us know in advance if you would like us to make any special arrangements to help accommodate them. We will have a bowl of water available for them.

Induction loops are available at Reception and in our meeting rooms for visitors on the ground and fourth floors. Portable induction loops are also available from Reception on request. Hearing aid users must turn their hearing aid to the “T” position to use the induction loops.
